This inch of pillar area is for the 72 Grenfell victims

To remind the UK of the 72 people who died in the 2017 Grenfell Tower fire, Justice4Grenfell and BBH persuaded the newspapers to donate a column dedicated to the victims' names

June 14 marks the third anniversary of the fire, which is due to the inferior cladding of the building. A 2017 report confirmed that the building codes were not being followed.

Although three years have passed, questions of fault remain unanswered, but according to Justice4Grenfell, who was set up to remember the victims and hold the authorities accountable, the story falls out of the news cycle.

Together with advertising agency BBH, the organization launched a campaign to celebrate Grenfell's third anniversary in order to keep the tragedy in the public eye. On June 14, newspapers across the UK will donate an inch of pillar space, drawing attention to each of the 72 people who died in the fire.

Justice4Grenfell also encourages people to mark the event on social media by sharing a message to commemorate the 72 and an animation created by BBH – a simple but powerful film that highlights the power of the press and the scale of the press disaster .
